Our pilot training is carried out in accordance to JAR-FCL-1 European ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices. Before the first solo flight students have to reach minimum 16 years of age and 17 years to be able successfully finish the course. All students under 18 years must provide covering letter sign by parents or legal representative. Prior to beginning actual course all students are required to take medical exam and pass class I or II. This medical examination is done by facilities approved by UCL (Institute of Civil Aviation CZ) Institute of Aviation Health Service Prague (Ustav Leteckeho Zdravotnictvi Praha)

After receiving Medical Certificate you are ready to start with theoretical training where you’ll learn basics of aeronautical law, general airplane knowledge, flight planning and conducting flight, human performance and limitations, meteorology, navigation, operation practice, flight basics and radio communication. In framework of practice training students will fly minimum 45 hours including 10 hours as command pilot. VAP operates great training airplanes such as Zlín Z-126, Z-142 and Z-43. You can swap any type of plane during the course although we recommend choose one type and stick with it. At the end of the course students take theoretical and practical exams and become PPL licensee. PPL pilots can carry out flight as a command pilot or a second pilot on all non-commercial flights. For any commercial flight is necessary to continue studies under FTO approved by UCL and become a commercial pilot. This pilot training is carried out by AK-MOT scheme. Cost and length of the course

Cost and length of the training is significantly affected by type of airplane and time and learning abilities of students. The full course take typically six months if started at the beginning of season (April) Further we recommend expect some delays caused by UCL exam legislation.
